Boot Camps have become increasingly popular over the last few years with trainers who act more like an army Drill Sergeants than personal trainers. Sure people want to get fit and often need motivation to help them get there but do they really need their butts kicked literally and figuratively? The key to successful personal fitness is not relying on strong external motivation, but rather to develop personal inner motivation which will sustain your desire to not only get in shape, but stay in shape. That’s the focus of Real Me.
Real Me Fitness Camps will motivate and inspire you to achieve your potential in a more humane, supportive atmosphere. But don’t be fooled this is no walk in the park – be prepared to work hard, challenge yourself and as a result achieve results you have never experienced before. Fitness camp workouts are designed to get you into shape fast, working your entire body, challenging every fibre of your being. Every session is different, never letting your muscles get used to any one thing. The workouts are intense but designed such that all levels of fitness and experience benefit.
With Real Me, fitness camps are small so you will get lots of personal attention. Groups are supportive and non-competitive to help you reach your individual goals. Real Me personal trainers are real people, with real lives who don’t spend hours a day in the gym and understand the challenges of staying healthy and fit while managing a busy personal life. Our goal is to help you set realistic goals for yourself and stay focused on those goals to help you realize your true potential.
With Real Me, all classes are conducted outdoors. Yes, outdoors all year long to gain the benefits of fresh air and to help refresh your spirit. Here’s why. Your park is a gym with no boundaries, no fluorescent lights, no smells, no waiting, no machines, no TV, no boredom and NO LIMITS. It offers fresh air, vitamin D, stimulation, restoration, beauty and nature. Outdoor training puts you in an ever-changing environment that challenges your brain as much as your muscles. Having to adjust swiftly to different terrains, inclines and obstacles improves your mind-body connection and sharpens physical skills such as balance, agility and coordination. This means more muscles are working to do a similar indoor workout and you will actually be burning more calories. We use the natural environment, trees, benches, steps, hills, slopes and walls as equipment in our outdoor gym. We have everything we need for a truly effective, challenging and enjoyable workout.
With all the high-tech advances in treadmills, biking machines and weight machines, it’s easy to forget that the real thing lies right outside your front door! Working out with Real ME is both fun and exhilarating. The biggest payoff is the way you’ll feel. The outdoors can help invigorate your spirit and revitalize your emotional power.
What to expect
Real Me Fitness Camp workouts are one hour each day and can include strength training, circuit training, interval training, obstacle courses, core conditioning, light jogging, hill training, calisthenics, plyometrics, yoga and more. The great outdoor playground has no limits to how we workout. Don’t expect to see the same workout two days in a row - sessions are always fresh and stimulating. Fitness camps also include supports you will need to be successful, including nutritional guidance, tools for personal enrichment and guidelines for what to wear when working out in cold weather.
Whether it is to lose weight, decrease % body fat, increase strength, boost energy levels or some other fitness goal, Real Me Fitness Camps will meet your expectations and more. Sessions are intended to be electrifying to help you meet your goals in a fun, non-competitive environment allowing the real you to shine.
